Probably bricked a legit used NESC #1523

It might sound silly, but here it is. The NESC i'm talking about is a used one, and I bought it modded already. That means it was modded with an old version of hakchi. The exact mods were another language and 5 more games. So, because of my stupidity, I removed the kernel without having the original dump itself. Of course, I found one on the internet, that is a 2016 one(judging by the 2016 copyright on the guide and on the console itself), and tried some actions without that kernel. Now it just turns off whenever I turn it on. As I've heard, you can't permanently brick it because it's all software, so I guess it still works on a hardware level. What I can't figure out is how EXATLY do I install that downloaded kernel, I just don't understand what to do. Sorry if this is a really dumb question, it's my very first modding experience.
