Feature request: sorting games by platform + delete multiple games #235

I'd like to request 2 features that would be pretty handful for large libraries of games added through hakchi (I have over 1600 games now):

  1. You're quite limited with the 300mb space on NES Mini. So this means you keep all your games added into hakchi, but only put a handful of games on the console at once. I think a quicksort feature would be awesome, by platform, like a checkbox for only showing NES, or only Genesis games ( i think it can easily be determined based on the command line args for that game). It would also help to see which games are already added to hakchi for a given platform if you want to see which SEGA Genesis games you already have in hackchi.

  2. It seems it's currently not possible to remove more than one game at once (I mean delete from the list and remove from your games folder). It would be awesome to have a feature when you select with Ctrl a list of games you want deleted from the games list. The currently available select all will select the games to be added to console, but it's not possible to select multiple items with Shift or Ctrl.

Hope you consider these enhancements 👍 Keep up the good work !

It's planned.

Sounds good. Also for large libraries, another great feature would be to have the possibility to mark games as favorites (similar to starred emails). This means you could easily switch to your favorites and check all of them to copy them to the console. You could also filter for favorites the way you do for the different console platform games like described above. Everyone has a favorite set of games after all 🥇

Thanks for considering these enhancements. Your hakchi app is more and more awesome with every new release.

Instead of deleting a game from the device hakchi should offer the choice to 1) delete them, 2) store/back-up them to a seperate folder (i.e. games_favorites or games_history).

it has been many years (20+) since hacking and modding psx, ps2, ps3,PSP, NDS, DaveTV and other things. in my old age I have refrained from doing so but since I purchased a Japanese Nintendo Famicon and a Japanese Nintendo Super Famicon for gaming nostalgia and to show my kids what I grew up playing I would love to be able to delete all the ancient ROMS i put on my SFamicon in one shot and start from scratch. each time i try to delete all the old ROMS i have to do it manually......i have 3 kids and quite honestly i don't have the time to do it!!!!

It took me long enough to get around to modding my JAP Super Famicom and through trial and error i got it done tonight. i uploaded all of my of my old assed misnamed roms and then i noticed that pretty much the entire library was available to download and install. After DLing it i tried in putting them all on and now it screams in red on the bottom "1653.5 / ???MB". Not sure if this is too much to ask but it sure would be nice! plz help an old timer out!
