[SNESC] [BUG] save states in retroarch menu not working with extra_space mod installed #122

Using the latest version of retroarch, but I couldn't get a single save game to work properly. It partially works (at least on SNES9x), if you don't leave the game, but if you leave, start the game again and load your save state, it just resets the game. I tried stella, too. Same result.

I have the extra_space_mod installed - maybe it has something to do with it. It would be GREAT if someone could look into this. I'm so happy that I got 'Zelda - Oracina of Time' to work (glupen64), but without save states it's just not really playable...

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't have the extra_space mod, but with latest retroarch 1.0 my save states are working beautifully for SNES, NES, Genesis, Master System, and Game Boy.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope someone can conform the bug with extra_space mod installed. Otherwise it's something else...

I have extra space installed. I tried alien soldier (sega) and actraiser 2 (snes), i saved, i exit, i changed games, but everything works fine.

Are your saves over 50 MB ? Check in your save state manager. My saves are over 50 MB, I tried using the extra space mod, which moves the saves to a different partition on the SNES mini, but I couldn't overwrite or save new save states (or "suspend points"), probably because that extra partition was full, but I have no idea... I then removed the extra space mod and everything worked nicely again.

I think this issue might be related to N64 games specifically. RetroArch save & load works for me in SNES and NES games, even when exiting and re-opening the games. I've tested four different N64 games and none of them have been able to successfully re-load a saved state.

Info: When I go into the menu and hit save state, it does not return to the game automatically as in other games. When attempting to load a save state, it simply crashes the game and returns to the MiniSNES menu. Games are separated into folders with 32 games in root and no more than 25 games per sub-folder. I tested N64 games in root as well as in subfolders. In Hakchi2 save manager, every N64 game only has 'S' next to it, with wildly varying sizes of save state. I do not have the extra space mod installed, and have around 80 MB of space free (as reported by Hakchi2 ver 2.21f).
