Requesting update for mgba core to the current latest version 0.6.1 which has significant improvements over the current version 0.5.X

I've been encountering slow performance in Pokemon FireRed (during the battles) and garbled music. Though I'm not sure they're actually playing in mgba. (mgba on my phone seems to work fine with the same rom). Any idea whether this might be due to the mgba version? (or how I can check that it's actually playing in mgba)

EDIT - the path contains /bin/gba so it will be mgba allright. Would this issue be solved by a version upgrade?

Hi,
perfectly willing to try, but... I'm not sure where to start
(don't want to lose my save games)

You can download the latest armhf version of mgba_libretro.so
    from the buildbot server.
Just swap it with hakchi2's FTP access, but I'd make a backup
of the original for good measure.

Why don't you go and see if it solves your issue and then you
can report back whether mGBA really needs to be upgraded or not?
