No suscribe to is scary. I've seen Lets go in many websites + great UX books. Let's go = let's get into it, let's get the news. It's just a mere call to action. Suscribe = implies a cost
Subscribe to was an example, we surely have to find something else. I like when you say "great UX books, I need to know the author(s) please. Also, saying "many websites have this so its good" is not relevant. For example, thousands of websites have a slider, but it was proven that sliders are inefficients in term of information (something about our reptilian brain, I can send you my source if you want).
So, in my opinion, we should replace "Let's go", it has the meaning of going somewhere else or even worse, tell the user he can participate to cohoop's alpha. In every cases, I just think this is wrong.
"I haven't seen anywhere on any site something like this." >> equally unrelevant, then ;) Do agree that it suggests you'll reach the Alpha in the next step. Waiting for some propositions. I don't need your sources, I value your opinion!
"Please send me spam" ?
Honesty is valuable, actualy.

Coz we don't go anywhere, I haven't seen anywhere on any site something like this.
We should change it by something like 'Subscribe [to newsletter]".
