Excel vs Data Sharing Network Data - compare the data from the excel spreadsheets with the data from the data sharing network.

I will check this.

On script initial_CDSN_eda,Rmd, I compared the datasets. Using mostly interactive comparisons - I found them to be mostly equivalent. The Colorado Data Sharing Network (CDSN) data contains some more data and scripts.

This markdown document, kind of morphed into an EDA exercise. I published the document on Rpubs. Since the code is visible, this is obviously an internal document - but it contains a few interesting plots and tables.

Folks, I am catching up on all this after travel and attending the National River Rally- River Watch uploads new data to CDSN once a year about this time. Data is being added to the database at least weekly - so the most current data dump at this time would always be directly from me, until we can get our database updated and into this century (hopefully next year)-- and anyone can get real time data. When we do watershed reports, we have a data dump cutoff, so when we come back to update the report we know what data to add. The data I gave Matt was from a watershed report, which would not match identically what is available on CDSN. Not sure if this matters in what you are building --only in that everyone needs to know the data currency. I hope to be able to upload 4x per year to CDSN when all updates are over and we have operation and maintenance support. Barb
