Date format #8

What is the date format for the tidal data? In the tide data file for Sidney, 1/1/2015 is represented by a number i dont understand (e.g. days/hours/minutes/seconds since 1/1/XXXX).

Date format is Matlab dates - you can get these using the Matlab command datenum
