I am presently working on exactly this issue by creating a fully self-contained repository which contains all of the necessary codes and data files, as well information regarding the steps and process to follow. I will provide for review within the week- stay tuned!

I am trying to upload my starter guide to the Support-Routines repo, following the outlined CIRN protocol (git clone repo, git checkout development, git branch newBranch, git commit changes, git push origin newBranch). When I try to push my changes, I get a "Permission to CIRN denied" error. I filled out the Google form to become a CIRN developer earlier this week, so am I doing something wrong with git?
Hi @conlin-matt - I'm sorry, I saw your form then forgot to add you as a developer. I will do it right now. Thank you so much for your contribution!
@conlin-matt, you should be getting an email asking you to become a CIRN developer. Please let me know if you don't get it.
I got the invitation, thanks so much @mpalmsten!
Hi Could you let me know where I can find your quick guide? I searched Support-Routines but could not find it. Thanks!
It looks like Matt's guide can be found here: https://github.com/Coastal-Imaging-Research-Network/Support-Routines/tree/master/StarterGuide , so I will close this issue
Some new users mentioned they are not sure of the steps we followed in the practicums and which codes we used. It would be helpful to create a quick start guide (maybe in the read me file?) to point new users to the best place to start.
