wouldn't this break ID permalinks?

*if an org changes its slug, every bookmark to that org would break

e.g. Youtube has (or they may have removed them the last time I used them) slugs that simply redirect to the ID; that way bookmarks don't instantly disappear, and slugs simply act as short links.
