Realistic decal collection for the Extras folder #1472

BDB has several Kerbalized flags, but no real equivalents to go with the real names configs. I've seen them in screenshots on the forum, so it seems that they already exist, it should only be a matter of bundling a good selection of them with BDB.

Here's the list of the most useful ones that come to mind: -USAF roundel. -USAF logo. -USSF logo. -US flag. -ULA logo. -Lockheed Martin logo. -Boeing logo. -Northrop Grumman logo. -Orbital ATK logo. -Atlas logo. -Delta logo. -Apollo mission patches. -ETS mission patches. Some of these are available in larger flag packs, most are not, surprisingly enough.

Not sure on legality on redistributing actual company logos

JacobB094 commented 5 days ago

Pretty sure it falls under fair use in the US, since it's just a bunch of graphics, you're not even the one who is going to be plastering them over the rockets. Unless BDB is going to pull a Blackrack and start charging for an "early access" version, I wouldn't worry too much. This is not far removed from mentioning these companies in manufacturer field of the parts.

I wouldn't worry about anything legal-wise, but they should probably be in the Extras and also simply something we preserve/redistribute, rather than creating ourselves.

The "extras folder" is right here in the title. :) I'm not suggesting you draw the Boeing logo, either. I'm sure that if you (I'm not on the forum, can't do it myself) asked the people who make screenshots featuring those decals, a nice collection could be easily amassed. In fact, those screenshots are what inspired me to make this issue.
