I was able to reproduce the error in this project: cocoapods-rome-xcode-10-toolchain-problem-demo

Hey @Ruenzuo — I can still reproduce it in your branch.
I did some more digging and found out that this really is an issue with the new build system. The error build input file cannot be found
is there because of the new build system optimizations, and re-running Rome after setting the generated Pods.xcodeproj
's build system to the old one, it works.
I can also see that at the time of these failures the module.modulemap
file is actually there, but probably just not in time for Xcode to pick it up.

How did you do this? With the Xcode UI?
Also, you might want to drop your findings on the CocoaPods issue so more people is aware of the workaround for now.
This has been fixed in the build system by Apple in Xcode 10 beta 6.
Building frameworks with Xcode 10 is not working for me.
Using v1.0.0.
