No sound when watching video

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i watch normally then sound starts to cut then back again
2. the case developed 
3. now whenever i open the program no sound at all 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i hear sound with video.... no sound at all 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 1.3.7 (1.3.7) ,, mountain lion  version 10.9.2
Please provide any additional information below.

i tried to restart the device ,, making updates but no use
