Cant install OS

I am using Halo CE 1.09 but the OS installer says i dont use.
What did the Exception Report say (if this was on Windows)? Include Fault
Executable Name and Offset.
Cant find Halo CE v1.09 via its Registry input

What steps will reproduce the problem? If this happened in a command line
program, GIVE US THE COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS YOU USED!

I am having the same issue with Win 8.1 64-bit.

The registry was located at [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft 
Games\Halo]. 

I moved everything to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft 
Games\Halo]. Then I deleted the old path. I verify that halo is picking up the 
new path by removing the "FIRSTRUN", "ExitFlag", and "gamma" entry, it did 
recreated the entry.

This did not solve the issue.

I'm hoping that we can instead allow the user to specify a manual CE install 
path in the next release (FireScythe is the primary maintainer of the 
installer, but his time is kinda limited these days)

I'm wondering if this is somehow a Win64 issue, with how it executes Win32 
code. Others have expressed this same issue, albeit without their OS details
