the last issue that I posted was slightly different and it led to
misunderstanding, The answer that i got was a fix for a similar issue, but not
the one I was experiencing, sorry for the trouble but I couldn't find a
delete/edit option, therefore I was forced to post another issue

You can at least post answers to the questions from that issue:
Did you try to install the proper PRO CFW for your OFW (6.39)?
Did you install a diffirent CFW before? If yes did you uninstall it? Did you
use additional plugins? Did you disable or remove them ?
Did you check you PSP's model with PSP ident? What is it? (for example My PSP
3004 is 03g model).
Did you copy the PRO CFW's UPDATE and FastRecovery folders to /PSP/GAME/ on
your Memory Stick?
After runing PRO UPDATE the screen should turn black and display instalation
instructions in white text. Can you describe what happend in your case more
specifically? Did your PSP shutdown by itself? Did it display an Error? Could
you exit to XMB using the HOME key?

yes, I was using pro CFW 6.39
No, never installed any kind of CFW on this PSP
PSP 3010 09g
Yes
I executed Pro update, it showed the typical PSP logo when you start a game,
then the screen goes black, the light thatt indicates that the memory stick is
working turns on and off for 5 seconds and then it freezes, the PSP keeps like
that until I turn it off
