As per our meeting @98chimp will research additional costs and work required to federally incorporate prior to non profit registration

As discussed previously, the actual action of submitting a non-profit status for the org requires that the org be either incorporated or registered as a partnership. Either of these choices requires some legal counsel. Steps have been taken to establish contact with legal professionals and/or entities that may be willing to do a service swap with us so that we can lower/eliminate our upfront costs. Will keep this issue updated as more information becomes available.

As discussed at meeting we will go ahead with this rather than waiting for legal partnership. @98chimp will have papers ready to sign at the next meeting.

Incorporation papers are signed and @98chimp is working on filing

Initial submission was completed on April 10 Will follow up today to inquire as to where we stand on the process.

As of Monday May 15 the application finally went through (there were technical issues on the gov's side) and we will either be registered or be asked for more information in 10-12 business days.

@98chimp please reply on this ticket with the information about provincial incorporation. (At our meeting you were saying that there is good reason to do provincial incorporation in addition to the federal we have currently in progress)
