Hi, and thanks for your interest! No, HTML/CSS is not necessary, it's more about content. If you want to work on this, feel free to join our slack: https://codefortucson.slack.com/ . Jana and Dan Stormont are starting to discuss this so reach out to them there about this if you'd like to collaborate with them.

However, if you are interested in HTML/CSS feel free to make any changes you'd like! There is an issue on making the site responsive so that it looks nice on smaller devices. https://github.com/CodeForTucson/green-welcome-package-astro/issues/11 .

Oh! I got giddy and started making a Lean Canvas in HTML/CSS; if you're interested in eventually having that code feel free to reach out. I'll go and look at contributing to issue #11 then :) should I still join the Slack channel in that case?

It's up to you if you want to join the Slack.

For quick context, this Green Welcome package project was started by Jana who wants to brand Tucson, AZ as a place for sustainable living. The exact problems we want to solve still need to be fleshed out, so in next few weeks she'll work on documenting what she wants for this website. Jana doesn't yet have a Github account so to reach out to her, you'd need to join the Slack.

For #11, our project uses Tailwind CSS, so I'm not sure if that's something you'd like to work on. But feel free to reach out if that interests you or if you have any questions. If you'd like to do an overhaul of the design or do general UX improvements, feel free to do that as well, assuming we agree with any proposed changes you may have.

Right now, this site is still in the prototype stage, so it's not complete.
