"Struts:

i. Eave struts are needed to support the roof at High/Low eave when there is a parapet wall at that location. if the parapets are present at high & low eave, user needs to define if struts are needed at both eaves or only at any one eave (Eave strut location: High / Low).

Maximum length, Size, gauge, Eave strut location: High / Low /Both, type & Eave Strut lap of this element will be defined in project framing parameters. Based on which these eave struts are needed to be placed.

If eave strut lap value is entered then lap the eave strut similar to panels at stud flange, if this value is zero then place eave struts at max lengths by splicing (terminating & starting) the eave struts at flanges.

ii. Drag struts are needed along load bearing walls only under roof & beneath purlins. Need a parameter to specify whether the Drag strut in that building is continuous along hallway for LB/LBS walls or not needed at hallways for these LB/LBS walls.

Cont. @ Hallway (Yes/No), Drag Strut Maximum length, Size, gauge, type & Drag Strut lap of element of this element will be defined in project framing parameters. Based on which these drag struts are needed to be placed at LB or LBS walls.

If Drag Strut Lap is yes & Drag strut lap value is entered then lap the drag strut similar to panels at stud flange, if this Drag Strut Lap value is zero or if drag strut lap is no, then place drag struts at max lengths by splicing (terminating & starting) the drag struts at flanges.

iii. Eave & Drag struts should attach to stud at center/web or they need to overlap at studs with max length consideration."
