If we use Mailchimp, we could use something like: django-mailchimp mailsnake - http://pypi.python.org/pypi/mailsnake

"CodeRaising enthusiasts" list ID: 30866347d0 API key: (ask Nate)

Had 30 mins free up tonight, so tried to take a stab at this, but had issues getting this to run locally. See the URL pattern below that should take me there, but get a 404 at the root ... ? Can look into this on Wed.

url("^$", "mezzanine.pages.views.page", {"slug": "/"}, name="home"),

I'm assuming that our v1 for this is to set up MailChimp only, which would be at the bottom of the Home page, and then again on the contact page. Is this what you guys want? @natea @danchoi

see my other email. mailchimp will be our primary way of communicating with folks until we enable the site registrations and collect info that way. so i think the mailchimp signup box should be more prevalent on the homepage, and probably for now put it on every page to remind people to sign up. what do you guys think?
