This Laravel 4 package provides a very simple and easy to use asset pipeline. It was heavily inspired by the Rails asset pipeline. We make use of the wonderful Assetic package to help with pre-compliation!
I personally don't like haml myself, but it might be worth it to create an assetic filter if https://github.com/richthegeek/phpsass works with haml decently... it could be run through JST so users could have haml templates as assets.
