With a VS Code host, language features in guests like hyperlink navigation/go to definition, only work for files that have been "touched" by the host in the current VS Code session.
With an Eclipse host, language features like quick fixes, go-to definition and reference searches are not accessible by guests in their IDEs / browser.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In CodeTogether 4.1 we’ve added baseline (register now to the technical preview) support for remote editing and activation of SAP ABAP files as described in this enhancement request: Can't use code together with server-side SAP code
However, we want to continue to enhance the support that the ABAP community needs, and for that, we need your help.
For the 90-days following the technical preview release of features in 4.1, we’ll be gathering your feedback right here.
If your security constraints allow it, try out the features for ABAP in the 4.1 release in our public SaaS configuration by installing the plugin into the IDE you prefer for ABAP work: VS Code or Eclipse.
Once you see how useful the baseline support is, get your group to try out the more full-featured ABAP support in a free on-premises trial. That will allow you to test all the features in a real environment with your company’s implementation, VPN, proxies, SSO, etc.
Feedback is gold -- Tell us what you like or don’t like. Tell us what we missed or what we could tweak to make it better. Did we completely forget a critical feature? Tell us that too!
Please help us deliver the product that you and your community want and follow this enhancement for the latest high-level updates for ABAP feature news.
