We need to give log table access to the Buncombe County data analyst (the log_subscriptions and log_notifications tables). Only standard plans and above allow the creation of additional credentials with the ability to restrict access to specific tables.
At minimum we need to upgrade to Hobby Basic ($9/mo) since the free tier we're on has a 10K row limit.
Options:
Give the analyst the same credentials used for administration and for the application.
Upgrade to standard, which allows new credentials to be created ($50/month), and also gives us better backups.
Work around using something like Metabase. This is cheaper, but doesn't allow the County to just connect a SQL query - he'll have to download or write code against the API
My inclination is to just accept the cost and upgrade to standard so we can do things right, but would like to talk through with someone.
