@kfklein15 added SQL S4 as it wasn't on our board but it's on the roadmap? I added Barneys suggestions
@Barny-6 this topic is very much focused on Employability, could you give us some pointers so that it's more clear what kind of content is expected.
@wainwmr could you please post the doc with the exercise you had on your WIP and feedback content but took out because of time constraints? Maybe it can be used here.
The main resource for this is the collective job hunting form which is introduced in this post/ video - https://codeyourfuture.slack.com/archives/C01TKCAHYN4/p1676904087045109
Here are the resources we have https://module-graduates.codeyourfuture.io/further-activities/collective-job-search & https://module-graduates.codeyourfuture.io/further-activities/collective-job-search/the-power-of-linkedin
Alongside the Collective job hunting forms: SA Form - https://forms.gle/VS2FzKCYP6KAN91i6 NW Form - https://forms.gle/4bCoXycLswrXzQ517 LDN Form - https://forms.gle/cqkjtCcKEtVFz9Q18 GLA Form - https://forms.gle/AVYwG7E7grZ9zJJX8 WM Form - https://forms.gle/nS6NeYAj5254e97Z9
The core concept is that it's a better use of everyone's resources to job hunt collectively - it means spending less time individually finding opportunities and more time applying for jobs. It also allows collective feedback on the suitability of roles as well as a better sense of community. This is an important defense against burnout & isolation
Re: Elevator pitches we don't have any materials pre-made but it's a widely taught topic so I think the internet will have lots available.
Re: Understanding employers needs I'm working on it but also don't have anything internal except the concept of running a session where the group discusses what employers might need
I think Esma covered pitching before. I'll focus on employers needs, create an exercise and you can then have a look
I've found good results looking at it the other way - i.e. asking the question, 'why should I hire a junior developer?' It might be a good exercise to get the grads to discuss this. Something like, You are an Engineering manager at a (small/medium/large) company, and you're planning your headcount for the next year. You are hiring a lead and two midlevel developers but are unsure about hiring more juniors. What are the advantages and disadvantages of hiring a junior?

@CodeYourFuture/pd-syllabus-team please review :)
@kfklein15 I've moved it here and assigned you as I don't think anyone else will do it. Barney already left feedback
Fantastic content, @LaraHuzjan , well done. I changed some things directly, nothing big. And added some comments.
Thank you! I saw we're waiting for German's feedback so if it's ok I'll leave this one for you to upload, please.
@LaraHuzjan we got the necessary feedback, but might be worth us reviewing this together when you feel better. Will assign it back to you.
