Background To communicate the entry criteria, we need to have a clear form people can sign up to

@kfklein15 I think it would be useful to copy that form and update it to match the new entry criteria. E.g. include option to upload cover letter, update the credentials, and add a field for a link the applicant's portfolio. I would be more than happy to do that, however I would need to know where the form is located and where I would need to create the new form in the drive.

@kfklein15 Is cohort information required for this form? If so, are all the possible cohorts the current ones on the calendar or only some from the calendar?

Additionally, I have found that forms in shared drives are unable to have file upload fields (Google support thread for reference). Do you know where the form you referenced earlier was created?

Yes, cohort data should be used.

I use forms in shared drives with uploaded files all the time :D Have you created and tested it?

@kfklein15 I do not have the option to make a question that requires an uploaded file as the option is greyed out. I could not say why am I unable to make one with upload file questions perhaps I am missing permissions or I need to change an option in the form?

If you are able to do it though, would to be possible for you to change the current questions titled "CV Placeholder" and "Cover Letter Placeholder" to upload file types? Form for reference.

I just noticed that the form I have is on my drive! My bad!

Can we have a field where people add the URL of their CV and Cover letter?

@kfklein15 I have changed the CV and Cover Letter questions to ask for URLs. Here is the current form. However, since a cover letter is intended to be personalised for each separate role, does it make sense that applicants would have a URL to their cover letter?

Additionally, I copied over the credentials question from the previous form however I am not sure if this is redundant since the credentials should ideally be confirmed internally.

They still have to "create" a cover letter for every role (or at least, I do, I have 100 versions of my CV and cover letter :D

I think it's still valid to have them confirm the credentials. Because when we confirm and they don't have them, we can use that to feedback to the trainee about it.

Thank you, can you please double check that I have met all the criteria for the sign-up form? Note that I updated the entry criteria to include the link to the form.

It looks good to me. I removed the "Remote" cohort since unless we have covid again we wouldn't have a remote cohort :) We just need to keep in mind that whenever new cohorts are created, we will need to add them to the list and probably remove some old ones.
