Responsabilidades 💻
As Documentation Programme Officer at HURIDOCS you will:
Manage a portfolio of projects with organisations who are working on documenting and/or investigating human rights violations, which includes developing plans to integrate new processes and technologies into their work, providing training and support, translating the needs of partners into technology requirements, and taking an initial lead on defining and reviewing information structures;
Contribute to the strategy development process with program leadership and other staff;
Assess the needs of potential organisational partners;
Manage project budgets;
Identify and develop reusable resources for the HURIDOCS community (guides, templates, demos, etc) and engage in convenings, trainings, and communications to maximise impact;
Build and establish strategic relationships with other NGOs and institutions;
Document and report the outcome of projects for partners, funders, and HURIDOCS according to deadlines and format requirements;
Develop project proposals and contribute to other fundraising, e.g. by representing HURIDOCS in public and private events;
Maintain an overview of past projects, coordinate regular follow up for quality assurance, MEL (monitoring, evaluation and learning) and relationship-building.
Lo que buscamos 💡
Experience providing technology and/or data and/or information management support to human rights organisations;
Competency in at least two of the following data skills: processing, wrangling, analysis, modeling, visualisation, storytelling;
Experience managing projects and teams;
Knowledge of the cultural landscape of Latin America and the Caribbean;
Ease in close collaboration with the Programme Teams to share good practices, challenges, advice and solutions;
Active participation and significant relationships in your field of expertise;
An open and flexible mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work on multiple long-range projects at the same time;
Proactive communication, ability to work remotely and with colleagues in different time zones;
Good written and spoken English; fluency in Spanish
