Fixes #143

See commits for specific changes, but a quick recap:

better typography defaults
prevent "hidden" app screens being shown
fix search bar for Safari
make map popup close button white so it looks nicer on top of images
fix issue where map popups alignment looked bad in relation to site image map markers.
