How might we tackle the food wastage problem in our community? #2

We feel that the problem to tackle is the supermarket waste problem. This would probably involve a platform that connects supermarkets and food banks / charities and communicates what the supermarket is likely to waste so that food banks can lay claim to it and it doesn't get thrown out.

There are some big issues to cover including legality of expired food, liability of people eating expired food, and this will undoubtedly involve a lot of lobbying and politics to pull off.
