Maybe use HTTP Basic Auth for that resource. Or a long "secret" link?

TODOs:

[ ] add (integration) tests
[x] setting correct values in RSS items for creator / author (e.g. originator), pubDate (e.g. published_at), categories (e.g. paper type, originator), so that a RSS reader shows the published date as date instead of the date when fetching the feed items
