Nivo Slider type - problem choosing pictures #345

Hi, I am having problems with Nivo Slider images upload. I cannot use the "gallery" slider type because it does only give me access to the 3 most recents uploaded pictures. I just would like to be able to select previously posted pictures to create a new gallery.

I have WordPress 3.5.1. (the problem was already there when I installed Nivo on WordPress 3.5.)
