[block-layout] Find a better way to abbreviate symbol names #12

At the moment we're just taking the first four characters of object and symbol names to put a readable amount of text in symbol blocks and object headers. This usually isn't very unique or helpful - find a better way.

This is partially done in https://github.com/CodethinkLabs/software-dependency-visualizer/pull/24 but could be improved.
