Basing on your image, I would guess your browser autofills in a value for your new username (yellow overlay). But I guess it's only an overlay and the value is not really entered in the input. Try it without your browsers autofill.

I try to type it out, but I still got the same error

Sry, I am not able to reproduce your error, even with the c9.io editor (apache httpd runner). Could you please give some details of your configuration: browser, server, etc.

I was running a live server, but now my live server is down, so I switch to Cloud9 instead, and as for the Browder I'm using Chrome the latest version

I have the same issue, Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS, Codiad installed in a custom directory /var/www/codiad

Fixed, switched to Microsoft Edge to create the project.
