[BUG]: GEVI may be broken again

Describe the bug: GEVI not pulling results. Looks like they updated their site; new format to search. My new matches are matching via IAFD or AEBN instead of GEVI (preferred). Some without pictures. Example below. It matched on IAFD even though I can pull it up in GEVI which is set as 1st priority agent.

GEVI instituted its new search engine the day before yesterday... looking through the developer options I noticed a change in the search where they have removed the .php...

However the provider string that follows this is the same, but when run from python it doesn't work... rather annoying.... especially after all the updates that I have worked on in the past 2-3 months to modernise it...

I will try and sort this out as GEVI is the best agent for matching films....

GEVI is definitely broken. I just ported my entire library over to a new NAS server and all of my beautifully set up media files are now an absolute mess since they were set to GEVI...

I will be working on GEVI this weekend. They have changed the way one retrieves data being searched from GET to POST... I started on it this morning.... Well pissed off about the timing.....

Hi All, my apologies I was thoroughly enjoying a European holiday and was completely disconnected. Sorry that GEVI has done this to us. Jason has devised a partial fix. Per Jason:

The GEVI agent is not working correctly - some titles can not be found.... So I have made the agent search both by Series - space-dash-space/dash-space and trailing title... Even with this there are a few that still dont get found.....

I will push it to both the main repository and the testing repository.

Just a note: The GEVI fix now in the master repository includes all of the updated functionality (e.g., collections) that Jason had been introducing via the Testing repository.

I have one more fix to resolve.... If the studio had the same name as a director - it changes the collection details - I will have to find a way to make the collection names unique with the least impact on display.... I have sorted this between the cast and the directors, so that you get separate collections...

This should be with Cody, by tomorrow...

Hey guys. Should GEVI be working? I am still not able to match anything on GEVI. 2 examples below and log attached. It hasn't been working for a while now since I logged this issue in October. Other agents are OK but they don't find everything that GEVI has. (Helix Studios) - Just Friends (2022) (Falcon Studios) - Taking Care of Business (2022) both are found on GEVI but will not match via agent

There was a path issue - strangely enough it did not affect my old tin can. But a linux user highlighted this problem. This was fixed yesterday.... it was in relation to the Directors Photos/Posters Library Folder. Hopefully Cody will place the updated code in the repository today as I sent it last night...

Also remember to tab through all the new options in the preferences then click save. And restart Plex.... I got caught out last week... and now I am reminding everyone. There is a new option for showing country posters.... the country poster can be configured to either display maps rather than flags....

@ScoBoXxX The updated agents Jason refers to haven't passed, so I can't update the repositories. However, the existing GEVI agent in the Master and/or Test repository matches these two titles fine. Just a reminder, the newly updated agents require the _PGMA subdirectory to be in the Plugins folder. Did you install that as well?

I turned off all the collections on GEVI by setting them to zero. But it is failing with to match the file (Jaguar) - The Magnificent Cowboys (1971).mp4 in GEVI.

Hi Cody, I updated to the latest version in Master, and I turned off all collections in the GEVI agent, now I get the following error in the GEVI log when trying to match (Le Salon) - More Mind Games.mp4. It looks like I'm also getting the same error in the AEBN agent as well.

It doesn't seem to find the Director/Posters folder ....

mine is as such... windows though...but do you have the corresponding %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins_PGMA\Directors\Posters

could you put a file in that directory and see if that makes a difference... I don't have a linux system... But this was sorted for another user......

Also after you save settings ensure you restart Plex

I added the token to the agent, but I still get the same error. I don't see any /Director/Posters folder under _PGMA directory. There's no _PGMA/Director/Posters/ directory in the repository code. What should go in there?

I created an empty /Director/Posters directory underneath the _PGMA and that seems to fix the issue.

Although it did create a GEVI collection, a Not on IAFD collection, and a Not Stacked collection, even though I have this turned off in the settings for the agent.

I'll try stopping and restarting Plex to see if that makes it pick up the setting.

Hi Cody, It's not there in the zip file I downloaded. Git often has trouble with empty directories. A dummy or sample file in the directory might help Git include it.

@JPH71 the directory was in the source code you sent me, but @fourstix is correct, Git strips out empty directories.

Hi, I still have the 3 collections created, even after making sure all the options for collections are disabled in the GEVI (and all the other agents). I'm using the code branch from Main.

Should I try the code in the testing branch?
Would you like me to open up a separate issue for this or keep it on this thread? (The GEVI agent is working now, I think my original problem was because of the missing directory.)

Hi JPH71, Here's the log for the GEVI match on the file (Le Salon) - Never Too Big.mp4 . It adds the movie to the 3 collections.

This one also created the collection "Compilations" in addition to the other 3. I'm using the latest code from the master branch.
