Additional Context: ## I know the drill to provide a clean install, restart server, tweak agent(s), restart server, match. Not sure what all is new is 7160e87 (did not see any testing for it, but grabbed it anyway). Had to roll back to a fork from 7 months ago, rinsed, repeated, everything worked fine and matched up. The only thing different was the installed PGMA files between this version and a build from 7 months ago. Which, I tried to find an archive to get the most recent just before 7160e87, and could not find a section. Thanks!

It helps to let us know how you have named the the physical file. I gather you are matching against queerclick... What is the entry on queerclick.. Also send a log file so that I can identify where its failing.. If using the latest version in the repository.. have you also placed the _PGMA folder in the same location as the queerclick.bundle... they should be sister folders...

Without the pgma folder the new version will not scrape...

So send a log file of the film/scene you are trying to scrape and I can pinpoint the reason to why its not scraping...

I was trying to match 4 "TGS" scenes; I believe two were by IAFD, and two by Queerclick. ALL 4 WERE FAILING to match under the new PGMA file from last week, which I put on a few hours ago onto my system.

I ended up renaming the files so they all reflected IAFD. So now instead of 2 and 2, it was 4 just to match to IAFD. They did not match.

I then removed that PGMA and it's folder/file structure and put on the older one from 7 months ago. Restarted the server. Refreshed the metadata for those 4 files, and they matched immediately.

Based upon your feedback, I slid the 7 month old pgma folders into a temp directory out of the plugins folder and put back in a new copy of the new PGMA zip file (just downloaded again), unzipped, and moved all the folders into the Plugins root folder. fyi, included is the _PGMA folder you mentioned [validated it is there along with the others]. Plugins is root, for this discussion, and the PGMA folder structures are 1st level sub-folders within Plugins.

File naming used: for this immediate discussion I am strictly using IAFD for the 4 files, so they've been named accordingly to match within the OS. PLEX reads the files as:

(TheGuySite.com) - Angelo Shows Off Buck Naked (2022).mp4 (TheGuySite.com) - Italian Men Fucking Bareback (2022) - [Caleb Mills, Nick Cranston].mp4 (TheGuySite.com) - Knox Fucks Chris (2022).mp4 (TheGuySite.com) - Mega Men Davin and Derek Fuck (2022) - [Davin Strong, Derek Bolt].mp4

The IAFD agent is the only one activated/checked to match under Gay Adult Scenes (all others are unchecked). I unmatched these 4 files (matched from the PGMA used from 7 months ago), and then attempted to match them and refresh metadata using the lasted PGMA zip file. They will not match. I individually attempted to manually fix match, cleaned up the naming in PLEX matching, made sure everything lined up and was correct, including dates. They will not match.

Having a problem loading log files, will try again in a moment.

Did you by chance load the agent preferences and save them, the restart pkex before scrapping?

There are many new options that have been added like downloading posters to disk...

I will then check to see if they match...

I have tested a few videos against the scene agents and they have worked...

However we got rid of the test repository as no one was helping with the testing...

And the only way to sort out any non standard errors is if users come across them...

There are nearly 17 agents and it takes a long time to test them against each agent...

The easiest way to send log files is to upload them to Gdrive then share the link..

In regards to preferences, no - I left everything as it had been without making any changes. Easiest way to perform an initial comparison of patch changes is leaving as much of the environment static. First thing I normally do is attempt to confirm new agent changes are working as expected before doing anything else.

Without saving the preferences, they will not be picked up and the agents will therefore not be I itialised and thus no scraping occurs... This you will see in the initial log after restarting plex... It is standard practice to open the preferences and then save the default values before using the agent.. this may be the possible reason why they failed to scrape...

The settings for each specific agent have changed a number of times in the past 2 months... Maybe three or 4 times... Like either using maps or flags to represent country collections..

I've just used your new code, changed directory structure naming, and followed the rest of your suggested instructions, and it's not matching. Sorry. I then tried rolling back to the code from 7 months ago, and it matches and works fine. Took that off and placed on the new code, manually unmatched those same files and attempted to rematch, and it wont. In fact, it's almost like a split-second in time and the process changes the file name and then stops. Almost as fast as a snap of finger and it stops. Something is in this new PGMA code that is not working correctly on my Windows system that I've never experienced before.

Here is what I replied to make it easier:

Assuming that you are on a windows system:

1. Download the latest Agents
2. Install all the agents to the plug-in folder: C:\UsersYour User Name\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
3. The agents all end with .bundle
4. Make sure that you also copy the _PGMA folder to the same folder, at the same level as the bundles
5. Restart your plex server
6. When plex reloads go to Settings then Agents
7. Select Gay Adult Films - you will see the list of agents
8. For each agent - click on the Gear symbol to load the agent's preferences.
9. Make your choices and save.
10. After finishing this click on Gay Adult Scenes and do the same for the scene agents.
11. Restart the Plex app
12. Select on film title and refresh its metadata

Followed your instructions:

3. I have restarted the server, and a) performed a refresh on 6 files and they did not match, b) I manually attempted to fix match, and none of the 6 files matched. Plex Media Server.log

Try it on one file then send me the IAFD log rather than the Plex Media Server Log......

When you run a refresh on multiple files it gets hard to find out what is going wrong as the entries from the matching process get mixed up as it does 3 files at a time

So stop the server restart it then select the one film and refresh metadata. if it does it very quickly - run it a second time - you should have a log like this one

for the very first time it will stop after where it says

then when you click refresh it will start refreshing - and you will see it search then update......

Your windows system is rather different from mine - it can't seem to find the path to the preferences.xml file... this is the reason why its failing on my system the preferences.xml resides here: C:\Users*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\Plex\Plex Media Server\Preferences.xml

Yours is here:

M:\PLEX Ecosystem\Plex\Plex Metadata Content Library\Plex\Plex Media Server\Preferences.xml

So as it can't find and you do not have a standard installation, you will have to get the Plex Token, by clicking on a Film and view XML and copy it from there into your preferences. [image: image.png]

I have tried to make the log files more legible and ordered to be able to track what's going wrong.

Well, there's that. I'm sure I'm not alone in moving my Plex eco system to a separate drive away from my O/S primary. I've found my token; I have the preferences.xml open in my editor, what specific should I enter, if you are aware? There is not mention of a server_token, or token, in what I have available to edit. Thanks very much for helping to troubleshoot this for me. Hate that I had to be an exception to the 'works for everyone else but me with my configuration' sort of guy. lol

in the preferences.xml file the token will be the characters after PlexOnlineToken= You do not change anything in the file - the agent if it had access to this file would use those characters... Just take those characters and put them in the preference for the agent, save, then restart Plex media Server....
