Why differentiate between MIT and Expat licensing? #453

The standard texts linked for these two licenses are literally, bit-for-bit, identical.

EDIT: According to the FSF, "MIT" does not unambiguously refer to one text, so perhaps a sufficiently bored language lawyer would go project by project convincing them to disambiguate.
