MacOS Mojave Support #28

Will gSwitch 1.7.10 work in MacOS Mojave?

randyoo commented 5 years ago

Also curious to know the answer to this question. Will postpone upgrading to Mojave until confirmed.

FYI, I realized that macOS Mojave does not support older hardware. Only Mid-2012 MBP or later are supported. Using force to install it (i.e. http://dosdude1.com/mojave/) doesn't seem useful due to 'known issues'. @randyoo are you on 2011 MBP? Is gSwitch used/useful for 2012+ MBP? I'll close this if you're also 2011.

@mschonwe Sorry to hear that. Mine is actually a mid-2012... guess it's next on Apple's chopping block. Sigh. gSwitch is useful for every Mac out there with dual GPUs: the integrated GPU is normally sufficiently performant, and it's annoying that visiting the "wrong" website, or opening a poorly-coded app (that has no need for discrete GPU) forces switching to the energy-hogging discrete GPU... gSwitch does an excellent job letting me determine when I wish my discrete GPU to be enabled!

Yes right now all features appear to be working in mojave.
