Doesn't Work on macOS Catalina 10.15.4 #56

Hello,

I have a MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011, I've always loved and used your app because, thanks to Dosdude1's patcher, when I installed macOS Mojave, I used your app for my Mac to only run on Intel 3000 for me to have full grapchis acceleration, because although my dedicated AMD works fine in Bootcamp or on High Sierra, I have never even attempted to disable it.

So your app works perfectly fine on macOS High Sierra and macOS Mojave, but in macOS Catalina it opens but it always stays on dedicated gpu no matter what option your choose.

Is this possible to fix? Or is this already been fixed and I don't know about it?

Appreciate in advance in help given!

Thank you

Catalina does not support your MacBook dedicated AMD GPU, Mojave does. My recomendation is to stay in Mojave so you can kextload the kext and be able to get your AMD chip temperatures down.

I’m very sorry for taking so long to answer, but I have been very busy.

As for the user above wrote, that info is incorrect!

macOS High Sierra is the last official os supported on this model, you can only install Mojave’s on this model using dosdude1’s Mojave patcher, the known issues that you copied and pasted in your post are the exact known issues in macOS Catalina, so Mojave and Catalina don’t have graphics acceleration on AMD had 6000 series.

But like I said, on Mojave I install gSwitch and choose only intel 3000 integrated graphics and I have graphics acceleration, but in Catalina I install gSwitch and it wont stay on intel 3000, it’s always on dedicated gpu...

So my guess is this app is not doing what it’s supposed to do in macOS Catalina.

And no, I don’t want to disable my AMD card, because I use it in bootcamp, it works fine.

Cody, can you please have a look into this? I’m just reporting this to help out the community.

I’ve seen in macrumors forum a user also with this issue
