Questions about replacing iionly's event_calendar with this one

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I'm looking for ways to migrate my live site to Elgg 4. One of the key components of our community is the side calendar. We currently solve this using iionly/event_calendar, which we managed to get working on Elgg 3.

Now, your event_calendar seems to be the only calendar solution for Elgg 4.

Describe the solution you'd like We'd like to migrate our calendar data from iionly/event_calendar to ColdTrick/event_calendar and have the required functionality.

In this context I wanted to ask if you'd consider the following new features to be out of scope of this plugin (so we'd develop them using Elgg's override-features) or if we should provide PRs that implement them:

• Disable attendee system completely (basically hide all attendee features from the views)
• Hide and Auto-expand panels from the edit view (e.g.: Always show the profile panel, hide the Registration panel)
• Disable Venue and Location fields (maybe turn this into a global "view customization" => which panels and fields should be visible?)
• Export all entries from/to dates, optionally filtered by region and type to iCal
• Import entries from iCal files

Describe alternatives you've considered Migrate iionly/event_calendar to Elgg 4 (basically adopt it then, because apparently development has ceased)

i believe all these features could be part of the event manager plugin. However i am expecting Elgg 5 to come out in a few months. It might be wise to wait with big changes until Elgg 5 is out.
