Chart Data Editing Dialogue Won't Appear #6226

Describe the bug When editing a document (text document or presentation), the data of a chart cannot be edited.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a text document or a presentation
  2. Insert a chart
  3. Try to edit the chart by double clicking it
  4. The dialogue for editing the data won't appear

Expected behavior A dialogue showing a table for editing the data should appear.

Actual behavior Half of the document view appears gray. Nothing further happens.

If you right-click somewhere and choose Data Table..., while in chart edit mode (the view when the chart is higlighted), does that cover what you were expecting?

Awesome, thank you so much! This helped me. I think it might be a good idea to make the Data Table visible somewhere more popular.
