Potential Applications of Push Citations in Facilitating Collaborative Scientific Research #6

When starting a specific project, scientists typically have a specific hypothesis. In my experience, it has not been common to disclose the details of my projects online until they have reached the publication stage. As a neuroscientist and cognitive scientist, I do not find the need to leverage push citations in my workflow.

Despite this, I came up with a few scenarios where push citations could be useful:

There are two key issues that need particular emphasis here. Firstly, collective review structures must be robust enough to withstand the stringent demands of scientific research.Secondly, as collective review is Inherent to the structure of project-based science, there is a noticeable lack of discourse on how academia navigates the continual development of public projects.

Specifically, few researchers have experience with their projects continuing after they are made public. There are limited expertise and established conventions on how researchers can effectively open up their projects and receive proposals from other research groups. This is an area where further discussion and exploration are needed.
