I would argue that the key areas identified that are important to presence/immersion in VR: cognition, audio, gamification, synchronization, technology, flow, POV (point of view), display, etc. can also be relevant concepts to explore when considering digital conferencing technology (not VR) currently used by teams to become "fully present." "
I found this article https://dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.1145/3359852.3359861 interesting on the importance of presence in immersive technologies along with factors that can help improve immersion through system and human factors. The article highlights that there is an "overlap between immersion and flow" which connects to the concept of being fully present in the moment.
