Covariates

1. Confirm the type of covariates to include. Using the SAR tables from DART, the explanatory variables include:

• reartype : H or W
• passage type : transported, in-river, bypass, and spillway. Group into two groups?
• reaches : BON to BON (all pass), MCN to MCN (ROR only), LWGtoLWG (all, ROR, T, B, S), LWG to BON (all, ror, T)
• species and runs--stick with spsu chinook?
• sar by release basin or site

Currently working towards including rear and pass and could run for CUTI and CUI. However, would it be better to run each covariate as a separate model and separate graph that is generated or include all covariates within the model? and allow facetting of the plots?

2. Similarily, per S&W 2005, CUI and CUTI are only including April per year---include more months?

Include all months (April, September, October) per 2005 paper or stick with ATSAR methods using only april? Discussed with JG--keep April for now but possibly add an option to include within the model as a shiny app feature.
