Search for molecules with abbreviations #1834

Description

Please provide a description of:

  1. Currently, one cannot search for molecules with abbreviations using the integrated Scifinder function as shown here: abbr

  2. It would be very helpful to be able to do so.

This issue occurs when drawing structures in ChemDraw with abbreviations (e.g., Bz, Bn, Boc, CF3, etc.) and pasting them into the Chemotion default Structure editor as mol text. The abbreviated structure appears within "[ ]", making it unsearchable with the integrated Scifinder function. However, the compound can be found normally when the "[ ]" part is manually deleted.
