Unfortunately comau does not maintain their packages correspondingly.
I created my own fork which includes many bugfixes. There I also have a lower fidelity collision mesh: https://github.com/Pro/eDO_description/tree/master/meshes

The current
edo_description
package seems to only contain highly detailed meshes. The urdf uses those meshes for bothvisual
andcollision
elements.Are there any plans to provide lower fidelity meshes? Packages like MoveIt benefit greatly from having access to lower fidelity meshes as it speeds up collision checking and avoidance by orders of magnitude.

edo_description
repository does not seem to have its issue tracker enabled)
