Contributions and travis badge

Contribution Changes:

• All commits should be submitted via a pull request from a forked project
• Added a helpful link discussing how to contribute to github projects http://gun.io/blog/how-to-github-fork-branch-and-pull-request/
• If a pull request is related to an issue, then one of its commit messages or the pull request message should have a link to the issue

Also added a travis badge at the top of the README.md so we know right away if the build is passing or not.

This pull request includes #10 which was closed since it was not submitted properly
