At the present moment, you can’t able to copy and paste Published Parameters from one Motion Template or Generator to another.
When you have 10 or more Motion Template or Generator in your timeline, it becomes an agonising process to update and synchronise all the templates on the timeline. In most times, users would always have to redo their work when changes take place.
The only present way is to copy and paste the values (one by one) manually from the source template to the destination template. And users have to repeat the steps for every instance of the Template.
It would be essential if to have some kind of Parameter Synchronisation option.
For example, if all the Template were to be assigned the same Role / Subrole, Under the Roles Tab, we can have a new tab called “Parameter Synchronisation”. Set any Motion Template as a source. Or A separate “Parameter Synchronisation” dialog box.
“Parameter Synchronisation” will automatically pull and expose all the Published Parameters from the Source Template.
Users can simply enable which Parameters they like to synchronise across all the other Template instances.
With this approach, if there is any change, users can simply tweak the Source Template and all the changes will get synchronised across all other instances of the Template.
And there can be a new option in the Clip Properties of the Template. Called “Bypass Synchronisation”. If the user wants to disconnect Synchronisation for any of the Template instance, they can do so by enabling, “Bypass Synchronisation”.
This feature can really increase user’s productivity and efficiency.
