Thanks for highlighting this. In a way, this is expected behaviour. We had to put some hacky things in place for the demo, so there's a lot of mock data interfering with your experience.

@jamiebrown201 and @samstephenson will be best-placed to help with this.

The expected functionality is that when a user pastes a link into the box on the home page, that's rendered in a readable format. This is then available for commenting on by users with access to the URL. The prototype shows how this should work.
