Multiple things I have noticed:

[x] No launch file for the example exists for now (already fixed by #32)
[x] Starting via ros2 run fails (already fixed by #32)
[ ] The waiting for localization fails as the slam_toolbox get_state service stays on "waiting for service to become available..."
[ ] SLAM does seem to not always start successfully

slam toolbox is not a lifecycle node as such we can't wait for the non-existing get_state. There is currently a PR over there that will change this.
