What is the vision of the Token Engineering Commons?

The TEC will Advance Token Engineering by supporting the development of TE best practices and making it easy for anyone to learn and apply them.

What is the mission of the Token Engineering Commons? (How are we going to get there?)

The TEC will use its token economy to distribute funds to projects that are advancing token engineering, but on top of that economic layer, we strive to unite the token engineering field socially. The TEC’s mission is to become a Schelling Point for the TE community for various topics, not just for allocating funding and aiding in project discovery, but also for important discussions around ethics, standards, tools, and countless other topics that members of the field come across as this nascent field of research advances.

We will design our organization to align the advancement of token engineering with the individual benefit of its members. If the TEC provides value to the greater society, then the individual members will also be rewarded at the individual level.

What are the core values of the Token Engineering Commons?

The TEC operates from a prosocial human centered perspective.

We hold ourselves to high standards of safety, resilience, and integrity.

Curiosity, constructive inquiry, presence and gratitude are our foundations for mutual respect and growth.

We encourage our members to be radically open source, non-hierarchical, creative, transparent in their intentions and accountable for their actions.

We are value driven and will strive to support the advancement of token engineering through projects that appreciate the value of public goods and ethical, inclusive economic systems, even at the expense of individual profit.

📆 In the TEC, we have a tradition of voting on the weekends so everyone has the chance to submit a proposal until Friday, April 2nd when the voting phase will be promoted.

updated to make it simpler, and I really loved @Santigs' integration of the term "Best Practices" in #10 so i added it into the vision
