The following headlines are unfolding the TEC Forum:
TEC Incubator V1
TEC on Optimism and ABCs on Optimism with Aragon
Inverter Networks Bonding Curves Model
TEC Investable Workstreams
See the TEC Forum for more information on the above topics.
The quest for this team is then to define how TQF fits into the TEC TE Incubation Narrative. TQF is like seed funding for TE public goods. Seed funding which is governed via TQF. This is a quadratic matched funding for peer to peer donations.
Quadratic funding is peer to peer funding boosted by matching pools. Where is TEC getting it's matching pool from?
The Common Pool
Sponsorship Matching
Quadratic Funding
Up until now, the common pool has been the primary source of funding for the TE QF rounds. The TEC is currently on a mission to remove the common pool funding from the above list such that funding parity is reached, TEC Common Pool Token Ingress = TEC Common Pool Token Outgress. Funding Parity. So that TEC can run perpetual TEGR rounds without depleting its common pool. Meaning gain should be equal to or greater than loss for the common pool.
Thus TEC Capital Strategy for TQF is the following:
$100,000WXDAI distributed to TE public goods projects per year, over 4 rounds with $25,000WXDAI matching pool per round.
So far, two rounds have been run, TEGR1 and TEGR2, with TEGR3 coming up in mid November.
This methodology gives TEC a specific function that it is optimizing for, the outcome of its quadratic funding rounds. It also sets a target for yearly Token Ingress of $100,000WXDAI token ingress per year.
By thinking through the above notes, I may be coming to my conclusion about how TQF fits into the Incubation Roadmap.
TQF is the Seed funding for TE Public Goods. It's the first Phase of the TE Public Goods Discovery Process. It's perpetual, sustainable, quantifiable funds streaming into TE public goods at $100,000WXDAI per year. It's a showcase for TE public goods. It's a community donations and matching platform to fund projects up to $15,000WXDAI per year.
Scoping out Phase 2 of the TEC Incubation process would be beyond the scope of this repository. That will be left up to the agents of TECAN, BCRG, Tumeric, ect. Closing this issue for now, and will reference it for future discussion.
