Force Close application on startup MyTracks. #484

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just start the My Tracks

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On startup, The Force Close popup is appears on the screen and a second later 
(since my attempt to reinstall) the Agreeement-popup is appears behind.

What version of MyTracks are you using? 
On what version of Android? On what phone?
Android for HTC Hero. The version, i can't start it - but it's the latest 
available at the store.

Please provide any additional information here:

I have this problem since a few days ago. My Tracks is a nice software that now are unable to use. I tried uninstall/reinstall. Also the Maps application. No difference! The Force Close popup is appears on the screen and a second later (since my attempt to reinstall) the Agreeement-popup is appears behind.

I also tried combinations like GPS Sensor off / on. No difference.

If i'm right I got an update for not so many days ago.

please provide logs, otherwise we're unable to look into it.

Logs was sended to the provided e-mailaddress. I'm not sure how they are 
connected to this issue, though (and how private it is?) However, the header of 
the message is:

Log Collector version: 1.1.0
Device model: HTC Hero
Firmware version: 2.1-update1

I have the same problem and it seems to have something to do with the language 
and region settings (Home->Menu->Settings->Language & keyboard->Select locale).

I always get a force close popup when having both language and keyboard set to 
Swedish. But it always work as it should when the language is set to English.

Btw, I think the problem started to show about two version ago.

Additional information:
By recording one (1) track using english language, I am able to switch to using 
Swedish language and the app still work as it should, but when the last 
recorded track is erased from the phone, then the app will force close again at 
start up.

I have the exact same problem as described by Jonas. Also on HTC Hero, however 
running with Danish locale settings. I have attached a log from my phone with 
info on the the crash of my tracks.

Aha, now that was a useful log :)
Luckily, I fixed that bug recently, the fix will be in the next version.
