Widget doesn't indicate recording state #516

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

The widget currently shows the MyTracks logo - it should instead show a record
button, and while recording a stop button.

This is wrong. The widget does indicate recording state. There is some issue
with your device. Currently it changes from a grey arrow to a yellow arrow. I
played a bit with using a record and stop button but it looks odd. A common
feature of widgets is the logo of the app to identify it. I think we should
keep that. I am going to mark this as closed as we do indicate the state.
There is another issue which I will try to investigate with the other issue you
opened. In the mean time please review a very minor polish cl which makes our
widget work on ics.

I argue that grey and yellow arrows are non-intuitive for knowing the state.
Can we at least make the recording arrow red, which is more commonly associated
with recording?

So the states would be
std/not recording: std icon
recording: red icon
?
[Want to make the icon's for me. I am horrible at that stuff.]

not recording could be either grey or the regular one (I think grey makes a
more clear distinction).
Sure, I can make the red icon.

And here's the red arrow.
